Janice A. Weiner nee Altman, 69, beloved wife of the late Stuart for 41 wonderful years and beloved friend, partner and companion of Louis Seif; loving mother of Melissa (Jason) Allen, Jennifer (Steven) Gotkin, Susan (Justin) Newman, Neil Seif (Shannon Burke), Alan (Jennifer) Seif and Deborah Seif (John Etmekjian); cherished Bubbie of Shauna, Gavin, Charles, Asher, Miles, Jacob, Sarah, Norah, Jessica and Ethan; dear sister of Sheldon (Gela) Altman; fond sister-in-law of Fred (Roberta) Weiner; devoted aunt, cousin and friend to many. Janice was a successful, passionate realtor with deep roots in the community; always devoted to her clients. There was nothing more important to her than her family. Chapel service, Friday 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Janice was part of a very important moment in my life. She found my first home, where I have now lived for seven years and plan to live in for many more. She was a feisty woman who didn’t hold back when it came to houses that she thought were “shit” (her words). We looked at a number of houses that day. Most weren’t quite right for me, one or two had potential, and one was a clear winner for my wants and needs. She helped me make an offer and the rest is one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made in my life. I was saddened to find out that she left us too soon and I’m very sorry for the loss of all of you who loved her and knew her well. Please find some comfort in knowing that she helped one of my biggest dreams come true and I’m sure that she did the same for many other people. – Mike Walsh
